11 things about me
1-I love designing, it has been my passion since childhood :). I love designing my clothes , accessories.. I think this has been inherited from my mother and grandmother. I still remember the day I asked my Nani(grandmother) to make a suit for me when had just landed from a out-station trip. I had always been like this if I want something then I want it there & then. During my school days I eagerly waited for summer & winter break , ask why ?? I had to make jewellery , do knitting , design clothes , bla bla bla...
2-I love buying & collecting footwear...I would have about 50-60 pairs already and still want to get more. I am always greedy for footwear... heels, flats, wedges.. I want everything !
3-My favourite lipstick shades are orange and hot pink .... I like bright lippies basically !
4- I have a passion for watches and love collecting all sorts of watches... I have Rolex on my list now.. hope hubby dearest is listening :P
5-I never plan anything , I just dream...
6-I love talking.. and meeting people so I think I am a right profession, btw I work as a buyer in e-commerce space where I get to meet a lot of people and brands :)
7-I am a vegetarian and love cooking , favourite dish is rajma chawal ...
8-My favourite color is orange , you can find almost everyhting in orange in my closet .. even cosmetics :P
9-I think that by applying nail paints you feel good and cheered up ..my favourite colors for nail paints are neon colors !
10-I am a shopaholic, guess you guys know that already :P
11-I love my family and my cousins .. they are the best people in the world :)

3. Most embarrassing nick name? Patola , that's what my hubby likes calling me ! 

4. What designer will you go to get your wedding day dress designed?- I am married but if given a chance to get married again(to the same guy) it would be Manish Arora, because he is awesome !

5. What character in other people you cannot stand at all? The people who keep bugging everytime

6. Favourite Brand - Budget & High end.- I don't pick things by labels , I can even do street smart shopping

7. What do you fine is most important in skincare other than what it is supposed to do - Smell, texture or color? I think skincare , using the right products and drinking plenty of water.

8. Weirdest beauty product that you have used or love to use? Lip primer

9. Movie which you adore and why? Jab We Met because I love the character Geet , I think every girl is as confused and cheerful as her :)

10. What is the most shocking thing you faced in the blog world? People doing weird makeup tutorial

11. I know this is old but i wast to know as I got this change. In case of a fire what will be the only thing that you will run with? I do not want to hear any makeup or beauty products...no no no That would be my handbag because it has all the products I need !

You Are In Love.....

What is love? It is one of the most difficult questions for the mankind.Centuries have passed by, relationships have bloomed and so has love. But no one can give the proper definition of love. To some Love is friendship set on fire for others Maybe love is like luck. You have to go all the way to find it. No matter how you define it or feel it, love is the eternal truth in the history of mankind. 

Am I in Love ? This is a very simple and complex question because you at times it could be lust too ? So how do you know you have found your soul mate? May be below mentioned points would help you decide .....

1-  You keep thinking about that special person- The thoughts about that special person rule your mind. You want to think about him/her all the time... When you wake up in the morning the first thought is about that special person. Even in your dreams you see this person.

2-Love indicators-There are a lot of indicators that allows you to know when you are in love. Even just seeing her/him make you feel special, every single look is like the first time.. You feel on top of the world..

3- The magical touch-The touch is magical, even if you know them from long you still get  butterflies in your stomach.When they hug you, every wall that you have ever built from keeping them out breaks down.You just want to be with them.

4-Spending good time together- You feel happy to be with them , you wish to spend quality time together. No matter what you do , even walking together sounds good to you.
Also you miss them when they are not around and think about the good times you had together.

5-Unconditional love-Love is not about give and take or about the perfection in you. Its about being together and thinking about other person more than yourself... You are ready to change yourself for that special person..

6- Being happy all the time- When in love you day dream a lot and also you are positive and more happy. You feel nervous when he/she passes you. Basically you are dreaming a lot and happy about it :)

7- Different experience- It is a different experience for you, the feeling you never had before. When a touch can make a lot of difference, you think about future with this special person. She him/her as your hubby/wife.. think about a family.. kids.. You love them they way they are , you are ready to compromise for them ... Also their happiness means the world to you :)

8-You don't notice other men/women-When a hunk/hottie passes you .. and you don't notice it then you are in true love. You are always thinking about the special person and know that thats your ultimate man/lady.

9-You love yourself-All your self doubt and issues disappear with just one look and you are more clear.Being truly in love makes you love and respect yourself. You must love yourself before you can truly love someone else. 

10-You forget sorrow- When you face bad time and this special person is not around you miss them a lot and want to share everything with them. A glace at you make you forget all your sorrow and you feel positive :)

Men Are Cars/Bikes, Women Are Diamonds

Men and women are different from each other, in terms of their behaviour , thought process, likes and dislikes.

1- Men and women are different-This is a known fact and should be respected. Men and women need to appreciate these differences. Men mostly like cars/bikes whereas women like diamonds which is a known fact. Their tastes and preferences are different right from the childhood when you can observe a girl holding a doll in her hand and a boy sticking to the car.

2-The stronger sex- It is often a hot topic of discussion which is the stronger sex , well there are ways to look at it, men consider themselves physically stronger whereas women are emotionally more stronger. I have noticed that. A women is a home-maker , fitting well in all the roles be it as a mother, sister or daughter.Also women are blessed with the ability to bring another life in this beautiful world. According to a study if a man had to deliver a baby , he could never bear the pain of it whereas a woman not only carry the baby for 9 months but also ensures to give all the comforts and happiness to them.So its a perception how you look at it.

3- Where do they indulge themselves-Men are often rugged , ambitious and love luxury, they often indulge themselves with items luxury items like fancy cars, bikes , gadgets like mobile , laptops etc. For a women looks matter a lot , a man may think twice before spending a huge amount of money on a haircut whereas a women if being told that a particular look will suit her will never bother about the amount and will go for it without thinking twice.The desire to look and feel good is very high in women , so they indulge themselves in jewellery, apparel, footwear,bags and makeup. Whats a Harley Davidson bike is to men is Louis Vuitton handbag to women.

4- Men listen and women talk- Women are often more expressive , they love talking where as men are reserved.When men do communicate, they like to get to the point, and generally only want to listen if they feel the conversation has a point; women enjoy talking for its own sake, and are happy to listen unconditionally.

5-Problem solving-When faced with tough problems, men become non-communicative so they can work out how best to help themselves, while women become communicative so that others can work out how best to help them. Men like to demonstrate their abilities by being allowed to solve problems without interference; women like to demonstrate their feelings by being allowed to relate problems without interference.

Dinner at Purani Dilli

It is said that if  you are in Mumbai & you don;t travel in the local train then your trip to Mumbai is incomplete and you don't get to see the real Mumbai. In case of Delhi it is said that if you don't visit Purani Dilli(Old Delhi) then you trip to Delhi is not complete.

Old Delhi has something to cater to everyone ....

If you are doing your trousseau shopping then you must visit Chandni Chowk.

If you are a foodie then you should not miss to be here , some famous eating joints here are Famous Jalabi wala , Natraj ke Bhalle, Haldiram, Chainaram ,Paranthe wale gali and many more .....

I am a foodie and I love the food options in Purani Delhi , few days back we went to Fathepuri Chowk for dinner at Kaka Da Hotel..

This restaurant is atleast 60 years old , if his place looks weird to you then let me tell you they have a option of sitting on the first floor with functional AC but they charge 20% extra for that.

This restaurant is famous for its king size naan and paranthas and they serve only veg.

I was very keen to see how they make these amazing paranthas , so I cliked pix :)

The king size parantha , you bet one person can't finish the whole of it , its huge and is topped it with the layer of butter/ghee...

After the meal we had rabri faluda and gajjar ka halwa at Giani di hatti, this is the oldest Giani in Delhi...

The Airtel commercial Har ek friend zaroori hota hai is one of the best ads I have ever seen.

Its true that every friend is important. Life is incomplete without your own set of friends ..

..

Its a fact that no one can live alone , everyone needs someone to share joy,happiness,work, sorrow etc.Friends are always there for us, to laugh with us in the happy times and to provide us with a shoulder, when we feel like crying. They serve as one of the biggest supports in our life .Friends are among those few people who accept us, rather like us, as we are. They never come into our life, expecting us to change for them. However, they do correct us when we are at fault.It is said that whether you need to hear the bitter truth about yourself, go to your best friend. He/she will never lie to you, just to please you and win your favors. What he/she says is the truth about you.Friends love you and care for you. They always make you feel special and never expect anything in return, other than your love and friendship. They stay true to you throughout their lives.

Like everyone I also have my set of friends ....they are like angles in my life :)

So I will briefly talk about my close friends , who mean a lot to me !

These are my favorite girls , I can't think of making any big & important decision in life without talking to them. We have had 'n' no. of conference calls & exchanging mails. We share every minute details about our lives with each other ... These gorgeous ladies listen all my nonsense stuff & still mange to tolerate me.. lolzzz... We talk a lot about fashion,makeup and girlie stuff :P I have to be connected to them everyday otherwise I feel incomplete ..Anu is a darling once I was very disturbed I gave a call to her at 2 am , though she was sleeping but still she woke up and spoke to me.....Samy as I call Shamila .. did what no one ever did for me .. she prepared the navratra meal for me , taking pointers from me , aaaawww Samy I was really touched that day & the girls night we had is unforgettable :P Any problem , news etc I have .. I have to share it with them .. Thanks girls for being my lovely friends :) Hugs !!

2- Nihit Duggal

I call him my Nini :P.. he is like a mummy to be .. always there to guide me , he would always be correct ! Whenver I have to seek advice regarding a issue that bothers me a lot , then he is the right guy ! We have known each other for 9 years now.. To him I am still that stupid , silly girl .. who is always confused :P His thoughts are very matured and he is very sensible ..I love interacting with him & spending quality time with him. He is one of the dearest buddy for lifetime , I am sure I am still going to bother him every now & then when I am out of my mind ...lolz...I expect him to be like this forever .. nice & sweet to me :)

3-Gayatri 

I call her Gattu mare jaan :) I know her from school days , the best thing about us is that we had a very different & extreme choices but now Gattu's taste has gone better & we have started liking same stuff, wow Gattu I would say Sangati ka asar :P... She is in US and our best way to communicate is imsg where we share pix of our latest outfits, footwear and makeup.. also the looks ! Gattu is my jannu ... she understands me completely and I connect well with her.. The best gift that she gave me was that she was physically present on my wedding , what better could I ask for ....I have promised her that I will design her trousseau , and Gattu you better not poke me on everything while doing that.. lolzzz... I am looking forward for her wedding coz then she would hopefully move back to Delhi. Yay ! I am already imagining what all we will do post her wedding .....

4-Farha

The one thing I like about my school days was that I met Farha :) We are best of friends .. During school days we shared the same desk.. We have similar tastes , she is very creative & talented. I still remember the beaded jewellery both of made in school...She is generally reserved but if she starts talking then we talk for hours & hours..... She is in Mumbai post marriage but that doesn't mean we interact less .. no ways ! we share all the gossip in our respective lives , exchange recipes , talk about trends , makeup etc .. basically all the girlie talks :) 

5-Vaibhav

That's my hubby ! Wow I am lucky that I got married to my best friend , what better could I ask for ? He understand me completely in facts he knows me better than I know about myself. He pampers me ,cares for me ... I love the fact that I choose the right partner. The best part of our relationship is we understand each other.He is forced to see all my outfits and help me decide the right one ! Also he gives the honest opinion :) I discuss all my problems with my hubby dearest who is also my best buddy :) He is always there for me whenever I need him ..There to fulfill all my wishes(demands) Wow lucky me :P

I love you guys and can't think of my life without you all ... Hugs & kisses !!

Gift ideas for women

Often men are confused deciding what would be a perfect gift for women ? For them its one of the most difficult activity to shop for a women & probably their least favorite task.  Hopefully whoever you are buying for is understanding enough to accept that every gift won’t be perfect and every now and then you’ll slip up and buy us something we just don’t want.But to avoid this situation I suggest some categories that you could focus on before buying the perfect gift-

1- Accessories- Women often feel offended if a guy gets then wrong size apparel , imagine if you end up getting a bigger size dress for her ... I am so sure then you might just end up loosing her forever ! Pick up things which are not size specific like bags, earrings , necklaces,scarf etc.Women always love to change their handbags and jewellery.Most of the women love jewellery , now that does not mean that you have to pick up very expensive stuff or it has to be gold/diamond, you can opt for pearls , decent everyday silver jewellery. Dont pick anything too flashy !

2- The practical gift-  A gift is meant to be something that you wouldn’t ordinarily buy for yourself.  Never buy a woman something that she “needs” like an appliance or a new vacuum cleaner. These gifts are also things that require work whether it be cooking or cleaning.A gift should bring some luxury or relaxation, not housework.Some women might also take offense if given a household product.

3- Fragrances- Women often  like wearing fragrances , so this is also one of the "safe" option.Just be sure picking up the right type of fragrance , keep in mind not picking up something too strong , remember you are not buying for yourself.Unless the lady is allergic to perfume , this is a good standby gift.There is room for error here if you pick something she doesn’t like the smell of, but most women want to wear something that is enticing to you, so if you liked it, chances are she will too.The most popular fragrance lines such as Burberry, Chanel, Ralph Lauren, and Dior are popular for a reason and make great gift options.

Do you like Maggie Noodles ?

Everyone has their own version of "Maggi memory", like of of those late night maggi during exam days and friends night out.....A favorite among hostel students...

Maggi is childhood buddy. I have grown up eating Maggi every now & then, infact I still love it :)
I think the catch is 2 mins cooking time , can you get anything more tempting than Maggi in 2 mins ???

It works as a perfect snack in between meals and so easy to prepare .. even a kid has confidence to make Maggi.


During the ad commercial they claim that it has Calcium & Protein , taste bhi , health bhi !
So who says eating Maggi wasn't healthy???

Also Maggi can be prepared in different ways like with egg, as pakodas, used as filling for sandwich , soupy Maggi etc.

Happy New Year 2012

Wishing everyone a very Happy New Year 2012 !

It has been a ritual that on 1st January , I try to make some new year resolution ....which I try to stick to for some time...
My New Year resolution for 2012-
1- I will try to do less shopping ( Will shop more during sale period:P)
2-I will try not to loose my temper soon , I will stay calm.
3-Though I am a vegetrian , but will try to cook non-veg food for hubby dearest, ok he can help me here ..huh...
4- Will eat more often at home, health is wealth remember ?
5- I will try to gift a Harley to my hubby dearest ( ok that's a part of his wish list)


So what new year resolution did u make ?
