The Sunday Lunch- Aloo Puri recipe

This Sunday afternoon I decided to prepare Aloo Puri for lunch , yes the typical Sunday lunch :)
I had been missing having it for a while and was in a cooking mood today , so Aloo Puri for lunch today.
Thought I will share the recipe with you guys  :)

Ingredients-
Potatoes-5 pealed and cut into medium cubes/pieces
Tomatoes-3
Ginger- little bit
Salt - as per taste
Jeera- 1 tsp
Turmeric powder- 2 tsp
Red Chilli powder- 1/2 tsp
Garam Masala- 1 tsp
Dhania Powder- 1 tsp
Methra Dana- 1 tsp
Sabut Dhania- 1 tsp
Kali Mirch powder- 1tsp
Green chillies-2
Cooking oil/desi ghee- 1 1/2 tbsp
Water- 500 lts
Coriander- for garnishing
 Sliced potatoes
Tomatoes and ginger

Method-
Grind tomatoes , ginger and green chillies in a mixer.

In pressure cooker add 1 1/2 tbsp desi ghee/cooking oil , now add Jeera,Sabhut dhania and Methra Dana.Cook it for 1-2 mins when turns a golden brown add the puree in it .




Cook it for 5-7 mins , when the masala becomes think , now add salt, turmeric and red chilli powder.
Now add the potatoes , garam masala and black pepper powder. Mix it for a while.



Now add water and cover it with the lid and give 5-6 whistles.


When you open the lid , mash a few potatoes to make a thick gravy. Garnish with coriander.

So this is how the final meal look like , served it with methi puri, mint chutney, salad and mango pickle.
